Water After 70 Years: SADAF Foundation Brings Water Pumps to 5 Areas of Karachi

For 70 years, families in five areas of Karachi lived with scarce water. Getting enough water for drinking, cooking and washing was a daily struggle.

In 2026, SADAF Foundation installed water pumps in all five areas. Today, households there have water for drinking and daily use — and better water quality.

Water Is a Basic Necessity

Every living being should have water to drink and to live. That is the promise of UN Sustainable Development Goal 6: clean water and sanitation for all. This project is one of the ways SADAF Foundation is turning that promise into reality in Pakistan.

Part of a Bigger Mission

The water pumps join our other programs running since January 2026: food, clothes, books and school uniform distribution, mosque repair, teacher support, and jobs for 50 people every month. Our target is to align every program with all 17 SDGs — starting in Karachi, then Sindh, Punjab, all of Pakistan and the world.
